Our Mission

Our mission is simple. We are not profit making in any respect. We help people wanting to go to the Hepatitis C Movement for Awareness events in Washington D.C. as inexpensively without discomfort as possible. Both of us sponsoring this effort have or are in remission from Hepatitis C ourselves and try to go every year. We offer nothing but the ability to share the expenses and thus arrange for rental of larger vehicles to get there and back. Last year we were the ones that got 10 percent of those that showed up for the march and rally in Washington D.C. there and back.
We are the co-contacts for the Hepatitis Support Group of Mercer County that meets twice a month at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Hamilton, NJ.
We offer only Round Trips not one ways. This is necessary to keep the costs standardized. That means that if you choose to return by another method you still have to pay into the shared expenses for a round trip seat.
Last year everyone went the morning of the rally and returned after the rally was over. Both ways and the events all in the same long day. This year we are open to think about running two different ways. The same one day trip or a two or three day trip. This will be decided as we find out from the people riding with us what they want and can afford to do. We cannot be responsible for hotel or motel rooms being reserved or paid for. However the national group is reserving rooms for people to stay over and information on contacting them will soon be provided here as we make the decisions if we can or cannot do this both ways (go and return same day or stay multiple days).
This is really up to the numbers of people we go together with, and how many want to do it each way. We have to fill the vehicles both directions or the cost goes up. Last time for the one day trip it cost only $50 per person. This was cheaper than any personal or public transportation available. It made it affordable and a lot more fun traveling together.
